Why is the US government so keen on building an aluminum-walled house in Alaska?
A new building proposal in Alaska is aimed at making building safer and better for the environment, but a major concern is that it will result in building materials and energy being mined at a rate far below the industry’s needs.
The proposed house, called the New Alaskan House, would be located in an area that has long been used by Alaskans and Alaska Native people for ceremonial ceremonies and gatherings.
