When will the CRL aluminum doors start coming back to the Dublin Airport?
Posted February 18, 2019 04:16:12 The CRL aluminium doors are on the way back to Dublin Airport.
The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) confirmed to The Irish Press that the doors will be back to passenger services by April 2020.
The doors will come into service from March 2020.
They will be available to passengers who wish to use them, but not at the Dublin International Airport (DIA) as the doors are not currently installed.
The CRL door assemblies will be manufactured at the new Hinkley Point site.
The airport said it has not yet received the permits to begin the process of installing the doors, but said it expects the doors to be installed by the end of 2020.
It is not the first time the doors have been removed from Dublin Airport to be replaced by new aircraft.
The doors were taken out in January 2018 to make way for a new Boeing 737-800.
The Airport Authority said the doors were installed at the old Hinkleys Point facility in February.
